Rumors that the iPhone 11 will charge other devices from its back

A possible iteration of the iPhone 11 from Digit.in

The 2019 release of the iPhone may finally bring some interesting updates.

The upcoming iPhone may have the ability to cross charge other devices nearby it by turning itself into a wireless charger, according to respected analyst Ming-chi Kuo and reported by the Independent.

This would be a very interesting update indeed, if Wireless Charging is to come to Air Pods, it would possibly mean that not only could you share battery charges between friends, but that you may potentially also be able to charge your headphones from your device itself.

While it would certainly be an interesting feature, it is not new or innovative – the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is already able to do this with its “reverse wireless charging” feature. Saumsung is also reportedly offering this capability for the S10, which will be released in February 2019. The constant pressure for Apple to drive innovation is certainly increasing, with China sales plummeting in Q4 of 2018, causing the stock to drop just as quickly, putting huge amounts of strain on them for upcoming releases.

In addition there are also rumors reported by Apple Insider that the iPhone 11 (or iPhone XI) will have 15w charging capabilities (hellooo faster charging!) and a battery capacity of 4000 mAH.

Despite rumors about a wider adoption of USB-C, following its heavy integration on MacBook’s and other devices, it appears that Apple will continue to use the Lightning cable for the foreseeable future.

In terms of battery size, it also appears as if the in-built battery will be getting an upgrade in size, but most likely as in the past – any new battery capacity provided is ultimately eaten up in the upgraded specs & memory a new phone brings.

Other noteworthy features for the iPhone 11 could be a triple-lens camera, which would allow users to taken photos that include a wide, telephoto and ultra-wide lens system.

Regardless of all the potential features coming out, one thing remains sure – the Novi Charging Station has been steadily increasing in popularity over the last few years. We know that the bigger and better phones are, the more we rely on them as a population and the more we need them charged. We’re seeing a huge increase in adoption across education, hospitality as well as the medical industry.
